Mocha & Mug was born out of a simple dream—Feina Lhilu’s wish for a quieter life. After years spent chasing adventure, she longed for something gentler, a place where people could gather not out of duty or danger, but to simply be together.What started as a small gathering spot within their Free Company's first cottage, quickly became something much bigger. Word spread, more friends dropped by, and soon there were more visitors than chairs to seat them. The little café had outgrown its corner.When the Free Company eventually moved into a larger home, Feina took it as a sign for Mocha & Mug to grow, too. With the help of her fellow members, she rebuilt the café from the ground up in the new basement space, giving it room to breathe, to flourish, and to welcome even more travelers through its doors.Nestled in the Black Shroud, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, the Mocha & Mug café offers weary travelers and curious souls a place to breathe easy. Enjoy a warm drink, trade a few stories, and let the scent of coffee and baked sweets carry your worries away.

Kanran Hagane, 27 (she/her) <
Café Co-Owner & Supplier

When Kanran isn't being sent around the world for hired jobs, she likes to spend her down time keeping herself busy with less stressful activities. When Feina proposed opening a café, Kanran was more than happy to join in. Since she can't make much of anything other than simple teas, she instead opts to locally source coffee beans, tea leaves, and more with her own hands.

Riovanne DuClare, 35 (she/her) <
Waitress & Barista

Riovanne "Rio" DuClare joined the part-time café staff out of love for her boon friends, the cozy coffee house atmosphere, and a strong cup of cold brew imported from her homeland of Ishgard. She alternates between being a hostess and a barista, depending on need, and approaches both with the same pep and cheer. On her breaks, she usually likes to simply talk to customers and listen to any stories they're keen to tell.

After years of mercenary work and countless missions, Feina eventually found herself yearning for a different kind of stability—something gentler than battlefields, scars, and contracts. Drawing on her love for simple comforts, and the distant memories of laughter shared with her family, she opened up a small café within the home of her own free company, to which she fondly named Mocha & Mug.

Charming, witty, and endlessly diligent, Faust has a knack for putting guests at ease. Whether with a clever remark, a sly grin, or perfectly prepared drink, he ensures no one leaves without a smile... However, he is never seen in the same room as Feina. How curious.

Our punch cards are a fun little way to make your visits feel extra special! While they don’t offer real-world discounts, they’re purely for roleplay and flavor—a cozy touch to keep track of your “regular” status at Mocha & Mug! After all, who doesn’t love pretending they’ve earned that sixth cup on the house?

Treat everyone kindly—guests, staff, and fellow roleplayers alike. No harassment, trolling, or disruptive behavior IC or OOC. Racism, sexism, homophobia, or any form of bigotry will result in an immediate bar from the venue. Please respect personal space IC and OOC. This is meant to be a cozy and safe environment.If someone is bothering you, let one of the staff members know.2. Keep It Immersive
RP is strongly encouraged in this venue, so please stay in-character while in the café! OOC chatter is fine, but please use /tell, party chat, or brackets (like this). Also, please refrain from spamming emotes or running around disruptively.3. No NSFW
This is a SFW venue. Lighthearted flirting and innuendo are fine, but keep it tasteful. ERP and explicit behavior are prohibited.4. Orders, Gil, & Service
Staff will RP taking your orders, but gil exchanges are purely for flavor and not necessary, though you are welcome to give tips! Please don’t rush the servers as sometimes it may take a while to type out each response—keep in mind that they also may be juggling multiple guests!5. Have Fun!

There is supposedly a lalafellin ghost that lives in the café, that some say they can hear him shuffling about in the ceiling. Sometimes he'll speak, sometimes he won't. You may try to communicate with him, though don't expect a response back. Management is letting him stay, so don't be alarmed if you happen to hear a muffled, distant voice.5. Our Rewards Program
